(LEED – Silver) Grabeck carried out a complete modernization of three concourse commercial levels of this fully occupied and very busy multi-use building. The project was completed successfully in four phases with key elements including new stairwells, entrances, storefronts and a built-in water wall feature.


Almonte Hospital

This complex renovation took place in two phases and included asbestos abatement, demolition and the construction of a new medical facility. Additional work included exterior cladding, a new canopy entrance and hard & soft landscaping. Notably the hospital remained open for the entire duration of the project.

This unique construction project involved a new two-storey addition and a complex renovation to an existing one-storey brick structure. Work was completed in two phases and involved new foundations, new structural, electrical and HVAC systems, a modern stainless steel staircase and interior and exterior upgrades.

The home of Canada’s first Prime Minister and now Residence of the UK’s High Commissioners in Canada, this project involved interior and exterior renovations, masonry, demolition, electrical upgrades and asbestos and lead paint abatement - all while preserving the historic nature of the building.

This complex project on one of Canada's most important buildings included stabilization on the west slope, rebuilding the nearby perimeter wall, reconstructing the existing stairway and updating the retaining walls and stone faced tunnel facades. The result is a project that is now truly a part of Canadian history.


Montfort Hospital

This challenging project involved renovations to multiple parts of the Montfort Hospital, including their ER. This required laying the groundwork with selective demolition and then building out new state-of-the-art patient facilities, including a new waiting room and lead-lined CT scanner room, allowing the Montfort to continue to help countless patients in the Ottawa region.
